Incepted in 1972, Western Institute of Technology (WITT) is one of the largest government led tertiary education public institutes in Taranaki region of New Zealand. Being one of the fastest growing institutes, it spreads over two campuses around Tranaki, having its main campus in New Plymouth, and the other one located in Hawera.
